Experimental Investigation on the Cyclic Shear Mechanical Characteristics and Dynamic Response of a Steel–Silt Interface in the Yellow River Delta

The shear behavior and dynamic response of a steel–silt interface are significant for the safety stability offshore structures in Yellow River Delta. A series cyclic tests under constant normal load conditions (CNL) were carried out to explore effects stress, amplitude, roughness, water content on strength, stiffness, damping ratio using large apparatus. preliminary results showed that amplitude stress affected interface’s dominant manner. roughness also crucial factors impacting rule ratio, changing with number cycles. Under various scenarios, weakened distinctively, energy dissipation tended be asymptotic shear.
